I’m a big believer in supporting the small mom and pop stores. With that being said I have recently have been shopping at Ozark Kayaks in Bella Vista, AR. At first, because of the location is near the Little Sugar and Big Sugar. Over time I have grown to enjoy the family that runs it!
Kegan Ward and his wife Kaelee run this small shop. Without pushy sales, Kegan works hard helping you find the best setup within your budget. His wife works alongside him and brings an extra charm with her beautiful smile. Their two sons feel your heart with happiness. This really is a family store!
The float was planned at the last minute with the help of my friend Ryno. We managed to work everything out within the short time of me driving home from Ponca, ar on another adventure. I’ll post more about that soon.
We decided to meet and float on Big Sugar creek near Pineville, MO. With clear waters and sky. We started the float at Deep Ford with our group of nine.
With a little current and clear waters, we navigated the creek with ease. The only concerns where a few root balls and trees. Nothing that couldn’t be avoided. The kids seemed to have a great time with one floating with mom and the other with dad. The float was only 4 miles but was perfect for everyone. Really was a great way to end the weekend.
I can’t say enough nice things about this family and look forward to floating with them again soon!
