I hosted my first Leave No Trace hike over the weekend. We had a great group of people who came to learn and protect the great outdoors.
We started off learning how to be prepared for hikes and outdoor adventures. Then starting our hike we stopped a few times to talk about hiking on durable surfaces and how we can prevent erosion along the trails. Other stops we covered graffiti, littering, and even exposing outside food to wildlife. Lots of great input from the group and great seeing the Glory Hole.
After finishing our hike it was requested that we hit another waterfall. So we continued our education by taking another quick hike over to Magnolia Falls.
Overall this was a beautiful day with a great group of people. Hopefully everyone learned something new.
