This event is planned with the goal of protecting and preserving Gypsy Camp with the guidelines provided by the owner. We will be providing light work for a few hours on Saturday for free camping, raft rentals, and camp fire wood from the owner. You must be in good health and own your own camping gear. We will receive special treatment and granted access to sleep in one of the many cabins ( no beds ).
Friday – July 17th
The event starts friday evening with Free Camping in one of the near 100 year old cabins on the property. You will need to provide your own camping gear and food. Bathrooms and showers will be provided for our group.
Saturday – July 18th
After breakfast on Saturday morning we will gather for two hours of trail building along one of the bluff dwellings on the camp grounds. The work will include clearing brush and rocks. We will then break until later in the afternoon.
During this time we will chill in hammocks, swim, explore, or even enjoy a private float.
Later that afternoon we will continue trail building or clearing brush around the cabins for another two hours. After the evening maintenance we will gather around a campfire to enjoy each others stories.
Sunday – July 19th
Sunday morning we will gather once again but this time for Free shuttle and Raft rentals for those who had helped the day before. We will enjoy a near 5 mile float back to gypsy camp. After our float we can hang out and swim until around 5:00 PM.
