Runner on the wooded Frisco Trail

  • Location: Joplin to Webb City.
  • Distance: 5.6 miles one way per TrailLink (note: sources disagree, the Joplin Trails Coalition lists 3.5 miles and AllTrails shows an 8.4 mile route with spurs).
  • Parking: south lot on E North St in Joplin, midway lot on N St Louis Ave just south of Zora, north end at Ellis and 5th in Webb City.
  • Difficulty: Easy, flat.
  • Surface: Packed gravel main trail, paved asphalt spur along Turkey Creek.
  • Hazards: several small road crossings, no drinking water along the trail, tricky highway crossing north of Hwy 171.
